Education

Sunday School for all ages

Christian Education Classes for all ages meet from 9:15-10:15 am. Children and youth meet in the one-story, brick Education Building directly behind the church facing Holly Avenue. The adult class meets in the Church Parlor, reached by entering the middle door of the church building through the courtyard facing 3rd Street.

Nursery Care is available for infants up to 4-year olds in the double rooms at the end of the front hallway of the Education Building from 9:15am until children are picked up by parents for Eucharist. Our experienced caregivers, Ms. Amie Wasielewski and Ms. Bailey Godwin extend the love of God through joyful care, gentle play, and Bible stories.

Godly Play is for 4-year olds through 2nd grade and meets in the room with the sliding glass door.. Our Godly Play facilitator is Mrs. Lisa Godwin, and parents of children in this class are asked to volunteer once a month as a class assistant with snacks and clean-up. You can learn more about Godly Play on http://www.godlyplay.org.

Weaving God's Promises is for children in 3rd - 6th grades, and meets in the hallway classroom. Our Weaving God's Promises facilitator is Alyson McGowan, and parents of children in this class are asked to volunteer once a month as a class assistant with snacks and clean-up. Journey to Adulthood is for youth in 7th-12th grades, and meets in the living room classroom. It is based upon our youth's request for something that "doesn't feel like another class at school, gives them 'real' things to do in the church and world, helps them build upon the foundation of Scripture, Tradition, and Reason that they have already learned as children in the church, assists them in growing into faithful leaders in the church and world, AND IS FUN!" That's a pretty tall order, but we think this program will 'get it done.' Brent Hobby is our facilitator for this class, which meets in the living room of the Education Building.
